Even if you don’t intend to do your own engine servicing all the time, doing it once will teach you important skills that will help if something goes wrong. We’ll work through what you need before the session and then talk you through changing the oil, impellor, fuel filter and belts on your engine.

About the Instructor

Craig is not a trained mechanic – but many people who have learnt from him about their engines find this to be an asset. What Craig does have is extensive experience keeping a fleet of 50 engines going in remote locations over 9 Seasons in the Caribbean. He’s seen a wide range of issues with modern marine diesels and has helped sailors solve them in person and over the phone. He’s used to explaining how they work and how to fix them to other sailors.

Cost

$300 for a three hour session. You can have multiple people attend – just be aware of how much space you have around your engine. We don’t recommend more than 4 participants.

How to Book

Just drop us an email info@sailwellington.co.nz or give us a call 027 311 0003 to book or ask any questions.
